National Supplier Vocabulary (Codes) – CPV numbers have been specially developed by the European Union for public procurement. Their main purpose is to provide a standardised vocabulary to help procurement personnel properly classify their contract notices (in the Official Journal of the European Union – OJEU) and to aid suppliers find the notices which are of interest to them.
